I had the same problem when contacting him. ping.de (and several other
mail servers I've encountered) refuse mail that's directly from
dynamically-allocated IP addresses.
You have three choices. You can write to them and yell at them for their
stupid policy (good luck---mail to root, postmaster, webmaster etc. all
bounce as well; I tried), you can set your smtp daemon to relay mail
through your ISP's mail server rather than delivering it directly (which
is what I finally gave up and did), or you can choose not to communicate
with Marius. :)
