Is there any reason to be concerned about this approach making things
somewhat more awkward for those who want to participate, but don't
have CVS access?
generally, no. cvs access is available to everyone who can receive
email; they can subscribe to the guile-cvs mailing list. for more info:
http://mail.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/guile-cvs
people are still free to make comments elsewhere, of course (and they
will, have no worries :-).
