But in another current guile-devel thread about threading, the
consensus seemed to me to be wandering more or less in the direction
of favouring coop multithreading.
So a reasonable option might be design mainly for coop multithreading
- which is a lot easier.
It is difficult to see us ever ruling out preemptive multithreading
completely, so we will probably need a fallback design for that as
well, but it doesn't necessarily have to perform very well.
