    Maybe we also can improve getopt-long error reporting by adding one
    option - predicate-failed - something like this...

    ... (predicate-failed ,(lambda (x) (%% "Can not find file ~S" x)))
    ... because 'option predicate failed' is not too informative :)

i have checked in a rewrite of ice-9/getopt-long.scm -- see NEWS for
more info.  it does not include this particular suggestion, but i would
like to ask for feedback anyway, and batch up changes for a future (post
guile-1.6 release) application.  unless there are glaring errors, i do
not plan to modify the stable (guile-1.6) branch further.

when suggesting changes, feel free to post a patch and be sure to
include appropriate changes to test-suite/tests/getopt-long.scm, too.
