This sounds like a great idea, though I haven't had a chance to look
at the files. Also, in the module section, it would be nice to
include, if you haven't already, an example of using safe envts.
Also, if we don't have it already, it would be really nice if we could
figure out how to add some meaningful benchmarks to a top-level make
target like "make benchmark" or similar. This would be a big help
when trying to evaluate the effects of various changes.
