problems with `scm_tc16_fport

I originally thought that the problem with scm_tc16_fport
was caused by bad linking... 
However, I added (after noticing that
scm_tc16_fport is no longer a macro) the old macro 
with the following name: gscm_tc16_fpport but it still complains that: 

.libs/libguilegtk-1.2.so: undefined reference to `scm_tc16_fport'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [guile-gtk-1.2] Error 1

There is not direct use of that variable anymore but it keeps
complaining. Could it be that some other function from libguile is
expecting the macro?
