I am not sure yet:  We probably should not overuse the snarf macro stuff.
However, it may be a clean way to add documentation about smob types.  
Further, it could simplify automatic code generation via SWIG or g-wrap,
since it would be sufficient to add code at a single place. So, I suggest
to add them to your proposal for new snarf macros so we can postpone that
decision until we actually come to including those new macros.
