network access to menu

Hi,

I've took a look into docs and code and have found that user can only 
interact with boot menu via scree/keyboard or console.

Unfortunately neither of these are available in some virtual 
environments. For example in Amazon AWS WC2 user can only look at 
(virtual) screen screenshot,

or system console log. No interactions available even via console.


Are there any plans to make access to Grub menu via network, something 
like a telnet service?
