It is very unlikely for the BIOS to have xhci support, and quite likely
doesn't even support USB add in cards, so getting USB boot from add in
cards is highly unlikely as far as I am aware.

I have never even looked at usb in grub, although I probably should at
some point.  Could be handy for bootable usb keys I suppose.
