All good now, with the addition of grub-mkimage.c prefix workaround and apple2.diff. (grub2 rev2202)

(x86_64 grub.efi booting ubuntu904 2.6.28-amd64 on MBP4,1).

It's a bug in objconv with 64-bit images. Add this patch workaround
(prefix workaround still applies). Also this patch-on-patch contains
another improvement for 64-bit apple compiler
