Or even:

FILESYSTEMS = .... fs/fat.c ....
grub_emu_SOURCES = ... $(FILESYSTEMS) ...

but be careful when doing untested stuff with make variables, they're not
parsed only by make, and the ruby scripts are quite picky in some things.
