grub2 and booting from LVM - possible?

According to grub wiki, "Installing GRUB while /boot is on RAID and/or LVM should be straightforward"[1].
However, I installed the latest version from cvs, but I'm having a hard time trying to get grub2 to work, when the whole system (including /boot) is on LVM-2, which is on RAID-1. 

Any clues on that?
