Where are you seeing this?  The 1.22.4 version of the groff man page
says "Set location trap" here, and git says this wording has been in
place since at least 2000.  (The entry has since been extensively
revised in commit c5ff7fd8
(http://git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/groff.git/commit/?id=c5ff7fd8), to
appear in the never-to-be-released groff 1.23.)  What version of groff
are you running, and on what OS?  Perhaps some distro has changed this
wording in their groff package for inscrutable reasons?
