"Can't break line warning"

I've attached an MM file that demonstrates the letterhead I've adapted.
The horizontal line output by the \l escape is 6 inches, the same as the
declared line length.  Perhaps this is inevitable to keep the address
below the line presented at the right margin aligned to the right end of
the horizontal line.

The warning from groff is:

$ groff -Tpdf -P-p11i,8.5i -mm letterhead-demo.mm > letterhead-demo.pdf
troff: letterhead-demo.mm:31: warning [p 1, 0.5i]: can't break line

I've also attached the resulting PDF.
