Deri's suggestion to use "-mspdf" was (almost) certainly intentional; it 
is a thin wrapper around "-ms", redefining some "ms" internals to make it 
play nicer with "-mpdfmark", (the latter being sourced implicitly when 
running groff through pdfroff.
