Hi,

This is getting off-topic.  Groff uses a limited form of C++, thus it's
still approachable by C programmers.  If it starts becoming more C++ and
less C then it will lose that possible pool.  I think it's widely
accepted that C++ is a large complex sprawling language that few
understand completely.  Like Perl's "there's more than one way to do
it", but on a larger scale, an author sticks to the subset they know and
prefer and it's up to the readers to be able to grok it, or "re-factor"
it into their own subset.

Let's not go there.
