Well, while I like to do a lot by myself, handling Make dependencies
and such things is something I really hate to do.  For me, automake
comes very handy, and I have the simple view of a user: I have to take
care of a small set of data only, and the rest gets handled
automatically.  I don't care whether the resulting `Makefile.in' are
bloated; I don't look into those files.

:-) Given your expertise on other areas, especially mingw, and your
excellent contributions already done, I hope that you will continue to
with contributions.
