[Groff] MOM - TOC not wrapped correctly

Dear all,

I have a problem with MOM. My TOC spans multiple pages and it does not
wrap to the next page correctly. The first page is filled up to the
point where page footer would start and then instead of continuing on
the next page it makes a 2cm space and starts printing entries again.
When it reaches the bottom of the page, it continues on the next one.
No entries in the TOC are lost, but some of them are placed in a wrong
location.

It looks more or less like this:
PAGE 1
toc entry...............................1
toc entry...............................2
toc entry...............................3
toc entry...............................4
toc entry...............................5
toc entry...............................6
<SPACE HERE>
toc entry...............................7
toc entry...............................8
---------------------------------------------

PAGE 2
toc entry...............................9
toc entry..............................10

I updated MOM to the CVS version and it exhibits the same behavior,
with a minor change: all the toc entries after the break have smaller
spacing between the dots.

I can send an example off list.

Best,

Petr

P.S. I can't compile the latest CVS snapshot, it fails with
Making grolbp.n from grolbp.man
sed: RE error: illegal byte sequence
make[2]: *** [grolbp.n] Error 1
make[1]: *** [src/devices/grolbp] Error 2
make: *** [all] Error 2
I thought it was an encoding problem in grolbp.man, but even if I take
the version from stable, it fails. I am on a mac.
