I'm not sure why. It was behind the firewall at work, and CVS to the "outside" 
has exhibited flaky behavior in the past (sometimes savannah won't resolve). 
It could have been a savannah glitch as well, although I'm leaning toward the 
"it just happens sometimes" theory.
