To decide whether it's a bug in g++, in gdb, or in Eclipse, wasn't easy.
I've now reported an Eclipse bug at
http://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=124661
Using a build directory different from the source directory is a sufficient
workaround for me. You can forget about the issue.
Thanks for insisting on the fact that this is functionality that can be
expected from a debugger.
