Notice that in vim syntax : can be replaced with a space between the
options. There's also a variant compatible with the older vi versions
that uses set command.
.\" groff:set option1 option2=value option3
Yes, the argument is that it is very similar to Emacs.
Yet, I just don't like those -*- signs.
Also, vim syntax is allowed to be in the first N lines of the file,
or the last N lines of the file. The default is N=5.
Thus if you need something to be on the first line you can always move
modeline to the end.
