[Groff] ANSI crap in output

I've just installed groff 1.19 on Windows and noticed groff
(or troff/grotty) puts out ANSI codes in output.This didn't
happen the 1.16 version.

I've defined these env-vars:
  GROFF_FONT_PATH=.;g:/MingW32/share/groff/1.19/font
  
GROFF_TMAC_PATH=.;g:/MingW32/share/groff/1.19/tmac;g:/MingW32/share/groff/site-tmac
  GROFF_TYPESETTER=ascii
  GRAP_DEFINES=g:/MingW32/share/grap

Besides that I've not changed any files in the distro.
How do I fix this?
