The problem is that Jaguar's gcc has some bugglies. The fix is to
recompile groff without triggering the bugs. :-) Since you have
to recompile anyway, you might as well get the latest version from
CVS, which fixes bugs & adds many features.
Oh yeah, how not to trigger the bugs... do it like this:
./configure --prefix=/usr CXX=g++2
make
You should probably make sure the new groff really is an improvement.
Copy your files into the groff directory and run ./test-groff -whatever
filessss
and have a look at the output. If it looks good, run sudo make install
to
replace the old groff.
