In case you are comparing UTP with groff 1.17.2 and 1.18.x, note the
improved hyphenation.  1.18.x understands the \hyphenation command in
TeX's hyphenation patterns (as you may remember, I've added some code
to parse Knuth's pattern unmodified): `associate' is now correctly
hyphenated as `as-so-ciate' instead of `as-so-ci-ate'.  Perhaps more
important, the break point in `ta-ble' is found.

Well, groff's `.hw' command can do the same, but in 1.17.2 no
additional .hw calls are present...
