your latest patch regarding indentation works fine.  While testing, I
found another bug: `\ ' isn't handled correctly; it must be translated
to ` ' but it isn't.  The same error happens with `\~'.

It should be rather straightforward: `\ ' translates to a
space_char_hmotion_node, and `\~' to an unbreakable_space_node -- to
improve results with the `unformat' and `asciify' requests, I had to
introduce separate nodes a longer time ago.  Now you can use this
infrastructure to emit additional html tags.
