Yesterday I added a small patch on top of your Debian patch to the
SuSE package of groff which makes Japanese man pages display correctly
when running in ja_JP.UTF-8 locale, for example in an xterm or mlterm.
This patch to groff-1.17.2/src/roff/nroff/nroff.sh may be a very
silly hack, it enforces that groff runs in ja_JP.eucJP locale
and then converts the result to UTF-8. But it seems to work just
fine.
Any better ideas?
