Does he mean like this... Or like this ... Either way, I've rarely
seen it with a full stop as well, i.e. four dots. And when I have it's
naturally jarred. I've only experience of British English and,
unavoidably, American English though. Personally, I'd have thought it
should be like this... without a preceding space.
