Your "Groff and Friends" manual looks pretty.  Nice job!

However, I wouldn't call it a groff HOWTO, for
- it it is too long for that task,
- it details a lot on ms, and
- IMHO, a groff HOWTO should only deal with the user aspects, give an
overview on the features, and provide links to further readings; for
groff is very complex.

If you want to keep the content as it is now it might be advantageuos to
rename it.  Actually, it represents a manual for using and extending the
ms macro set, or an introduction to groff macro programming using the ms
macros.

Chapter 15 is the base for a groff FAQ; it could be split off.

As to the copyright, the optimal way for documents is to put the text
under the GNU Free Documentation License (FDL) and the examples under
GPL.
