Remember that tmac.arkup is a macro set and thus should
generate nothing or very little when supplied as the only input file
to groff. It is normally invoked by -markup (as you've done above)
when the real troff source document requires the functionality
of the macro set.

Make sure that tmac.arkup is present inside your tmac directory -
use the latest one I emailed earlier this morning, you can safely replace
your old tmac.arkup with the new one.

Try the homepage.ms using

groff -tepU -ms -Thtml -mhtml -markup homepage.ms | less

and the html.ms

groff -tepU -ms -Thtml -mhtml -markup html.ms | less
