I'm the lucky person who volunteered to learn web pages by doing the Groff
home page at: http://groff.ffii.org. Now, it doesn't have a HOWTO either,
and if Ted doesn't know of one, there probably isn't one, yet.

I agree with all you've said. I don't know that much about Groff history
and usage, but I, too, see both a huge potential and poor user docs.

I would very much appreciate your help in improving this situation. Right
now I'm asking the others for help to figure out how to use the new Groff
HTML support. I want to write a tutorial on that. 

I would be glad to post a HOWTO from you on our Web site.

If the three of us could work on the user docs together, both online docs,
and what is in the Groff distro, I know Groff will find wider usage.
I don't handle the Groff distro, only the Web site.
