gbranden pushed a commit to branch master
in repository groff.

commit cdb0f22479cb8fab9a2afe4dee5b02fc63a979cb
Author: G. Branden Robinson <g.branden.robinson@gmail.com>

    [documentation]: Drop stale ms content.

Drop claim about VS register being capped at 40,000 for backward
compatibility. I can find no evidence in the s.tmac commit history
(with --follow) of this ever being true. The corresponding request
logic for .vs in env.cpp:vertical_spacing() similarly has no such check.

Also, I tested it, with 39999, 40000, 40001, and 80000. It works as you
would expect (with the division by 10000 as already documented).

Drop notice about formerly-provided .Ds and .De macros for X11 macro
compatibility. 15+ years is enough warning.
