Not a good idea, email corrupts the formatting.  Then again your
formatting needs a lot of work...

It also does not compile:

The old gps_read() had issues, do not use it.

Not really more complex in this area.  Most of the extra bulkd is
comments, usage(), better error reporting, etc.
