Hi, I upgraded to gpsd 3.10. I observe that "frequently", when unplugging and replugging my GPS (cp21x based venus thing from Bluenext , detected as vanilla NMEA, 9600), frequently the gpsd daemon will terminate (previously it would keep running and wait for something to be connected again).

At this stage I have no further log files or hints, no obvious terminal error messages are logged in the syslog on default (non debug) log levels. Usually there is an active client listening with a WATCH, but I'm not sure if this is relevant. The log files note an error reading from the relevant /dev/ttyUSBx since the udev rule to remove the device kicks in some seconds after the device has actually been unplugged

In case it's relevant i start gpsd with the following command line: /usr/sbin/gpsd -n -G -F /var/run/gpsd.sock -P /var/run/gpsd.pid

Obviously I don't expect anyone to escalate this as a specific bug, but it seems easy to test that this isn't a current problem in the release candidates for 3.11, hence why I'm mentioning it. I need to leave the office pretty much after pressing Send here, so limited time to debug the specifics...

Thanks for listening

Ed W
