Its version 3.0.0, prebuilt
also since the test_libgps fails, I don't think its a opencpn problem,
with -D 9 on test_libgps:
libgps: gps_sock_open(localhost, 2947)
libgps: netlib_connectsock() returns socket on fd 3
Daemon is not running.
the call to gps_open is returning 0
test_json/test_packet works
Telnet to 2947 returns json string:
{"class":"VERSION","release":"3.6","rev":"3.6","proto_major":3,"proto_minor":7}
