Thank you for replying.

The command I ran was:
scons gpspipe.c

This was done within the /release-3.4/ directory, containing all the c files, that was downloaded as a tarball from the gpsd site.

Hello gpsd-users,

I'm trying to compile gpspipe.c, from gpsd release-3.4,
using scons on Ubuntu 11.04.

The compilation does not succeed, returning:
/NameError: name 'leapseconds_cache' is not defined:

  File "/home/weaverg/src/release-3.4/SConstruct", line 1597:
    leapseconds_cache,/

What can be done to fix this error such that gpspipe.c will
be able to compile?

It would be helpful if you showed us the command as you invoke it.

Tom
