Hi Gary,
I started "/usr/sbin/gpsd -D 4 -n -P /var/run/gpsd.pid /dev/ttyGNSS /dev/pps0 -G ntrip://user:passswd@11.12.13.14:2101/BASIS" once with gsm connection and once whithout.Yo Ralph! Once gpsd has the IP, it can restart the connection later, asyncronously. If you know the IP of your NTRIP server, use that instead.I always used the IP of the NTRIP server, never the name. Any ideas?Npoe. Try to start gpsd with "-D 4" and grab the log for the first minute. The NTRIP code at startup has not changed for reconnect. Must be something happening that is not setting up for reconnect.
At the first case I interrupted the connection during message_gsm2 and reconnected in the beginning of message_gsm_4. I had RTCM3 messages in *0,*1,*2 and *4.
AT the second case I had'nt connected at the beginning but during message_no_gsm_2. I never got RTCM3.
I don't know
where to look for "something happening that is
not setting up for reconnect". Would
you do that, please?
