That is it exactly, I have been happily using it every so often for
probably over a year now.

I appreciate any configure options that make it easier to build gpaint on
poorly configured machines, the university machines are not updated as
often as I would like and my own machine is often horribly unstable or
missing all sorts of bits and pieces.

That should have read 'Andy' which would have made a lot more sense but
you probably already geussed that.

I hope I can occassionally make a useful conribution to gpaint, I am worn
out by the complexity of other graphics software and hope I add to gpaint
in some small way and make it more powerful yet retain it's elegant
simplicity.
