Since there is a great number of open source applications available for OSXm, the ability to compile and run these applications on GNUstep would provide a good application base for the project and in the future help foster an open source alternative to the mac Aqua desktop environment.
This is a lot more complicated than it probably sounds, particularly given that most modern Cocoa apps rely on more than just AppKit and Foundation.
