Hello gnunet,

I am starting about getting a domain name registry for a hostname. After
reading the user manual, I finally found the domain name registrar link
(https://fcfs.gnunet.org/ from
https://docs.gnunet.org/latest/users/gns.html#the-pin-zone). I typed down a
name as subdomain for .gnunet.gns.alt. It appears that I would need a zone key.
The only zone key that seems to register is .gnunet.gns.alt. I guess the input
requires a available zone key. I tried to make the local zone work, but I think
it is not for public/online view. Anyways, I input the .gnunet.gns.alt's key. I
was expected to use this taler application, but it turns out to be a browser
extension? I think that extensions shouldn't be used too often. At this point,
I am not sure what to install. I prefer a flatpak/flathub, but I can do source
compilation. Then, I have to worry about how much to pay for these plan kudos
currencies. Maybe the kudos currency is for free. The plan lasts for 6 months
for .30 kudos.

Other than the account, I have certain questions regarding
(subdomain).gnunet.gns.alt. What kind of parameters I can type in for my gns
linked IP address? Will I be able to get a domain email like
webmaster@(subdomain).gnunet.gns.alt? Can I put in text records to represent
the pass string for Let's Encrypt's SSL certification procedures?

I do not think I can find/make a custom hostname with gns, just gnunet.gns.alt.
However, I think it's a good trade off considering the fact that terms seem to
be good. I was wondering how long it takes for the submitted
(subdomain).gnunet.gns.alt before taler step to expired wait time? At the
moment, I trying to install this business card feature. It is taking a while. I
will go over the file-sharing, VPN, and messenger application in the future.
