That's certainly a valid opinion.
However, it could be that it was the audience (the inmates of Apple's
jail) which provided most funding, probably because they are desperate
for understandable reasons and at the same time were able afford a Mac
and thus are probably not the most poor people in the world.
Yet, from what I can judge, all core libraries apart from the UI are
written in a portable way to also compile and run on Linux.
In short: There are explainations for Ind.ie's decissions which do not
necessarily include malice.
