It would be difficult, as for good technical reasons various layers of
the stack have timeouts (to avoid keeping state for too long) that are
incompatible with typical DTN requirements.  That said, Jeff did
recently stress the need for (transparent) asynchronous operations for
higher layers of the stack, so maybe future iterations of (for example)
PSYC(2) could be made to work over certain types of DTNs.
