[GNUnet-developers] Kernel Patch for raising plan transport plugin speed

in the GNUnet documentation on page 
https://gnunet.org/configuring-wlan-transport-plugin
there is some limitation mentioned for the wlan transport plugin:

"Wlan speed is at the maximum of 1 Mbit/s because support for choosing the wlan 
speed with packet injection was removed in newer kernels“

Did anybody tried to patch the kernel to get rid off this limitation?
