Greetings,

I've been extensily reading several documentation papers about GNUnet and stood
with the following questions:

In some point of a paper still referring to GNet it was saying that GNUnet
should in future abandon UDP and start using HTTP, SMTP and FTP so it would
work in restrictive scenarios like networks with firewalls, trafic shapers or
trafic droppers. Is there any effort in this direction by GNUnet 0.6.5 or in
the future GNUnet 0.7.0?

I've also read that elaborate schemes have been designed in routing content
and queries in a way that lookup is fast. A particularly interesting approach
is chosen in Freenet, where similar content (in terms of similarity the hashed
key) is stored on topologically close nodes. Thus nodes can guess in which
area of the network content may be stored. It said:
"Currently, GNet does not attempt to use such advanced schemes, but they may
be implemented in the future." Does GNUnet implements it already? If not, is
there any effort to do it in GNUnet 0.7.0?

Thanks in advance,
Mind Booster Noori
