Ok, I had a look at the problem and everything is very strange. The line
that cause the problem is the following:
read $fh, my($bytes), $size - $hlen;
$size is 2923585676 and $hlen is 10 and $size - $hlen should be
2923585666 ... why does perl think this is negativ???
I could reproduce the problem in a small script I attached...I think
this is a problem in perl...
