Hello again, Mike.
Basically, I think it is best to think about what you would want to do
for GNU Herds. From what I understand Mike is interested in
translating from English to Polish. He said he will follow up with
another e-mail to state his interest.
Here are some things that GNU Herds need help with:
https://savannah.nongnu.org/task/?func=browse&set=open&group=gnuherds-app
Can you install GNU/Linux on your computer. My personal recommendation
is to use GNewSense. You can use it for a complete desktop to do your
work and as a Server to do the testing.
Another way to do it is to use the qemu virtual image and use
'ssh -XY address@hidden iceweasel'
to start the web browser and go to http://localhost . I think Davi can
give you more instructions on that and where to get the virtual image.
It's a little slow and may not be good depending on your computer. I
was using it on a 2 Ghz CPU with 512 MB memory and worked fine.
There are installation instructions if you prefer a local machine install here:
https://savannah.nongnu.org/cookbook/?func=detailitem&item_id=155
and Installation of the database:
