I've 2 TFT displays I set both of them to factory's default (B 100% and C 50%).

Honestly I prefer the plain red.

IMHO the color of the header should be in contrast with the logo, maybe red it's not a good choice. Or, the other colors are not the best choice with the header one.

a1) Monitor CRT, brightness 0%, contrast 65%
(good) I see a dark red, which was the color I was looking for.

a2) Monitor CRT, brightness 100%, contrast 100%
(bad) I see red! IMHO, I do not like it.

a3) Monitor TFT, , brightness 100%, contrast 100%
     (bad) I see red!

b1) Monitor CRT, brightness 0%, contrast 65%
(good) Very dark, but it is OK, IMHO.

b2) Monitor CRT, brightness 100%, contrast 100%
(good) I have the same feeling than with (a1).

Anyway Jean-Michel has told me via chat that he prefers the _old_ version. I
do not know yet what monitor configuration he is using:

Type of monitor ???, brightness ???%, contrast ???% levels.

Actually, do you like a plain and strong red color in the heading background?
