Hello Tom!

The zip files from 3/16/06 are development snapshots, and
designer is under heavy development by jcater.
If you want to try it, it's better to install latest released versions.
Don't mix releases/prereleases/snapshots/svn!

I'v tried and downloaded/installed runtime without problem.

Informix is not supported, today (it was before).
The supported backends are mysql,potgresql,oracle,firebird,interbase,sqlite.
The firebird and interbase uses the same driver/settings.
