  just in case it didn't get clearer: the problem is that the ui's
focus (i.e., the cursor and the highlighting wx gives to the focused
widget) stays in the widget I clicked into whlie gnue's focus is in
what you and I think is the right widget, so if I type I see the
cursor in ther third row while the text appears in the first one.
that's why my suggestion is to tell wx who must be the real widget
with the focus.
