Maybe you just need to install it from
http://www.lemburg.com/file/python/mxDateTime.html

The install.win32 and the install in the forms directory tell you which
software packages you need:

Python 2.x+     www.python.org (1.X python will not work)
wxPython        The GUI widget set
                http://www.wxpython.org/download.php
mxDateTime      http://www.lemburg.com/files/python/mxDateTime.html

A supported DB driver (tested so far, others should work)
  PyPgSQL      http://sourceforge.net/projects/pypgsql/

You should use Python 2.1.x and not 2.2, as it has some bugs, which let
designer crash. My install file still says, that PyXML is needed. I
don't know if the actual cvs version does it, too, but it's not needed
anymore.
