Follow-up Comment #17, bug #63171 (project gnuastro):

Hi there everyone, I've added the '--pixareaonwcs' option as Mohammad
suggested. Here is the result for the two images you shared here, the JPLUS
'm51.fits' and Raul's 'img.fits'.

You can clearly see the gradients are because of the different area each pixel
takes in the image (despite of the unique pixel scale given).
